Hemmi made a range of Bamboo based slide rules under their own name using the brand SUN, as well as manufacturing rules for a number of other companies, most notably Frederick Post and Hughes-Owens.

Peter Hopp estimates that during the years that Hemmi made slide rules their total production was approximately 15 million rules. That is a lot of bamboo!
